Job summary

Canberra Health Services is seeking a Senior Pharmacist - Medicines Repackaging Services to lead the Medicines Repackaging Service within a dynamic Pharmacy Department of ~150 staff. The role combines clinical expertise with governance, quality management, and tech-enabled service improvement to support patient care across CHS.

You will oversee multi-dose sachet packaging, unit-dose repackaging, prepacking, relabelling, quality assurance and medicines governance activities, driving excellence

Qualifications

• Registered pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience.
• Experience in medicines repackaging and medication production.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Passionate about quality, governance and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the Medicines Repackaging Service.
• Provide expert advice on medicine stability and expiry determination.
• Drive quality assurance, governance, audit and compliance.
• Champion continuous improvement, innovation and workflow optimisation.
• Lead implementation and validation of repackaging technologies and digital systems.
• Supervise, mentor and develop pharmacists, technicians, interns, and students.
• Contribute to strategic growth of medicines repackaging services across CHS.
