Statewide Clinical Support Services – SA Pharmacy in Bedford Park, SA, is seeking a Senior Pharmacist to support Cardiology services within SALHN. You will lead the pharmacy area, provide medicines information, and drive quality pharmaceutical care across hospital teams.

Strong leadership, hospital pharmacy experience and collaboration with stakeholders nationally are essential. The role offers salary AUS 112,139–120,284 p.a. plus superannuation and salary sacrifice benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent, registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia, with extensive hospital pharmacy experience.
• Proven leadership, supervisory or management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to build relationships within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills with knowledge of standards and practice.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Senior Pharmacist to support Cardiology services within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN). You will have the opportunity to contribute to and develop the Cardiology services at SALHN while influencing service provision and patient care for patients with acute cardiac conditions and collaborate with key stakeholders in South Australia and nationally.

As a Senior Pharmacist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-focused pharmacy services within your designated area. You will provide expert medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, medical and nursing staff, and other health professionals, exercising independent professional judgement to support safe, effective and evidence-based medication management. You will also lead the organisation and day-to-day operation of your pharmacy area, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure services are delivered in line with hospital policies, professional standards and best practice.

With a strong focus on improving patient outcomes, you will champion the quality use of medicines by identifying opportunities to enhance safety, effectiveness and value. You will bring your clinical expertise, initiative and sound professional judgement to developing and implementing strategies that support optimal pharmaceutical care, while contributing to a collaborative environment where excellence in pharmacy practice is valued. About You

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated pharmacy professional who brings strong hospital experience, confident leadership and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality pharmacy services.

• Qualified and experienced: Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent, registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia, with extensive hospital pharmacy experience.

• A confident leader: Proven leadership, supervisory or management experience, with the ability to guide, educate and support professional and non-professional staff.

• A collaborative communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Focused on improvement: Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills, with experience developing and implementing strategies to improve service delivery and a sound knowledge of pharmacy standards and practice.
