BMD Group is delivering the Eastern Freeway Upgrades project in Melbourne, seeking a Senior Permit Coordinator to lead the Permit to Work system across multiple work fronts. You will partner with construction teams, utilities and alliance partners to keep work safe and compliant, while driving digital improvements.

Ideal candidates will have experience coordinating permits in high-risk environments, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to interpret utility drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience in permit coordination or similar construction-based role.
• Experience around live underground/overhead utility services.
• Ability to interpret utility drawings and communicate requirements effectively.
• Well-developed stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the project's Permit to Work system.
• Support construction teams around underground/overhead services.
• Review and issue permits, ensuring compliance and safe delivery of works.
• Conduct site inspections and liaise with utilities stakeholders.
• Mentor and support Permit Coordinators and project teams.
• Drive improvements and digital enhancements to permit systems.
