Job summary

TOM Executive is partnering with a leading boutique fund manager to recruit a Senior Performance Analyst within their Funds teams in Sydney CBD. This permanent role offers exposure to the front office and to portfolio analytics and reporting.

You will work with the investment team on performance returns and attribution, risk metrics, exposures, and client reports, while contributing to data management and supporting pitchbooks and collateral.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience in performance and attribution analysis for asset managers, superfunds or securities services.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio analytics and reporting.
• Calculate portfolio performance returns and attribution, risk metrics, exposures and characteristics to support client enquiries, reports and prospective RFPs.
• Provide portfolio insights to the investment and distribution teams.
• Systems development and maintenance for quantitative tools.
• Data management including ETL workflows and data quality controls; marketing collateral management; support for pitchbooks and fact sheets.

This diverse and technical position will encompass:

• Portfolio analytics and reporting
• Calculate portfolio performance returns and attribution, risk metrics, exposures and characteristics to support client enquiries, reports and prospective RFP’s
• Provide portfolio insights to the investment and distribution teams

Systems development and maintenance

• Contribute to the evolution and availability of proprietary quantitative systems covering portfolio returns, attribution, exposure and characteristics

Data management

• Understanding of and ability to implement ETL workflows and data quality controls
• Marketing collateral management
• Assist with providing data for pitchbooks, fact sheets and periodic reports

Your Background

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 - 10 years’ experience within performance and attribution analysis working for an asset manager, superfund or securities services. You must be able to work well in a team, have excellent communication skills and be able to prioritize competing demands.
