Job summary

Qantas Airways in Mascot is seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to lead accurate payroll processing for a defined portfolio, ensuring compliance with awards and legislative requirements and meeting audit timelines.

You will act as a payroll subject matter expert, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulations, resolving complex queries, and supporting transformation initiatives while collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience processing payroll and managing complex payroll issues.
• Experience with application of industrial awards, enterprise agreements and legislative conditions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at varying levels.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately for allocated portfolio and ensure timely processing.
• Resolve payroll queries and contribute to transformation activities and efficiency improvements.
