Randwick City Council is seeking a Senior Payroll Officer on a 24-month fixed-term contract to ensure accurate and timely fortnightly payroll across a complex environment.
Reporting to the Coordinator Payroll, you will manage employee changes, leave, deductions, superannuation and terminations, and provide payroll advice to staff and managers while upholding confidentiality.
Experience with Dayforce and local government payroll knowledge are highly regarded for this role.

Reporting to the Coordinator Payroll within Financial Services, you'll play a hands-on role in the accurate and timely delivery of Council's fortnightly payroll.
Working across the full payroll cycle, you'll process employee changes, leave, deductions, superannuation and terminations, interpret relevant awards and workplace agreements, maintain accurate employee records and support regular and ad hoc payroll reporting.
A key part of the role will be working directly with employees, managers and supervisors across Council. You'll provide clear and accurate payroll advice, respond to a broad range of employee queries and help ensure staff feel comfortable approaching the payroll team for support.
You'll be an experienced payroll professional who combines strong technical knowledge with an approachable, calm and service-focused working style.
Experience within Local Government payroll, knowledge of the Local Government State Award and experience using Dayforce will be highly regarded.
Candidates with payroll experience from other complex environments, including State Government, water, utilities or organisations operating across multiple awards and enterprise agreements, are also encouraged to apply.
