Voyages Tourism Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payroll for a large, diverse workforce across multiple sites. The role involves ensuring accurate, compliant payroll processing, reconciliations, and reporting, with a focus on continuous improvement within payroll operations.

You will work with the Group Payroll Manager on award interpretations and queries, leveraging Workday and UKG in a hybrid Sydney office environment.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in payroll operations.
• Knowledge of statutory requirements regarding leave, superannuation, tax and awards.
• Experience using Workday, UKG and Excel for payroll processing.

Voyages Tourism Australia offers experience-based holidays in spectacular wilderness locations, including Ayers Rock Resort in the iconic Red Centre and tourism facilities in Mossman Gorge, located in tropical Queensland.

This role is located at our office in Sydney, which serves as a central hub, providing support to our operational teams based in our two locations.

We are seeking an experienced payroll professional with strong end-to-end payroll expertise, payroll systems knowledge, and a keen eye for detail to join our Finance Team as a Senior Payroll Officer. This role will see you delivering accurate and compliant payroll processing, managing reconciliations and reporting, resolving payroll queries, and supporting continuous improvement across payroll operations

Key duties:

• Checking of Documents for Voyages Corporate Office, Ayers Rock Resort and Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre, Reconciliation, Preparation and Running Reports related to end-to-end Payroll Processing Function.
• Processing, Preparation and Submission of End of Month Reports, Reconciliation of Net Wages, Superannuation and Payroll Taxes up to and including their Scheduled payments.
• Working with the Group Payroll Manager on the interpretation of existing awards and future awards

To be successful for this role you will have:

• 10 years’ experience in payroll operations
• Knowledge of Statutory Requirements regarding Leave, Super, Tax and Awards
• Experience in the use of Excel, Workday and UKG along with financial banking system
