About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedSenior Payroll Officerto join our dynamic team in the professional services industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, resilience, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Payroll:Full end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery for all employees.
  • Compliance:Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and regulations, including tax and superannuation requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management:Collaborate with various stakeholders, including HR, finance, and external auditors, to address payroll-related queries and issues.
  • System Management:Maintain and update payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Experience with Workday Payroll is highly regarded.
  • Process Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • Issue Resolution:Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.

  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel Skills:Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to use advanced functions and formulas for data analysis and reporting.
  • Fast learnerwith experience across multiplepayrollplatforms.
  • Stakeholder Management:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience:A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, preferably within the professional services industry.
