Job summary

Northcott in Sydney is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead payroll services for a workforce of more than 2,300 across NSW, QLD and the ACT. You will partner with People & Culture, Finance, ICT and operations to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance and exceptional service delivery in a large, regulated environment.

You will drive system optimisation in Aurion and related HRIS, oversee a high-performing team, and drive continuous process improvements while supporting strategic payroll initiatives

Qualifications

• Experience leading payroll in medium to large organisations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, STP and employment obligations.
• Ability to interpret and apply Awards and Enterprise Agreements across large workforces.
• Proficient payroll systems and HRIS with reporting and process optimisation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing payroll team delivering accurate and timely payroll services.
• Oversee payroll operations for 2,300+ employees across NSW, QLD and ACT.
• Drive payroll compliance across awards, enterprise agreements, taxation, superannuation and legislative requirements.
• Lead the optimisation of Aurion and related payroll systems.
• Partner with stakeholders to improve processes, reporting, controls and employee experience.
• Contribute to strategic payroll, workforce and system projects across the organisation.
