Job summary

Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) in North Adelaide seeks a Consultant/Senior Consultant in Paediatric Rheumatology to deliver inpatient, outpatient and community services. The role supports education, research and quality initiatives while promoting teamwork and high standards of care.

The position is part time (0.5 FTE) with SA Health salary banding and attractive benefits, including salary packaging, Fitness Passport, and relocation assistance negotiable.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree with Paediatric Rheumatology specialist qualifications.
• Current AHPRA specialist registration or eligibility for specialist registration in Paediatric Rheumatology.
• Minimum 2 years of advanced training in Paediatric and Adolescent Rheumatology.
• Comprehensive experience managing complex paediatric rheumatology conditions and performing intra-articular injections.
• Experience in a large public hospital, clinical research, teaching medical staff and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standard clinical services to patients using evidence-based practice.
• Contribute to quality management, quality assurance and risk management activities and ongoing improvement of services.
• Assisting with undergraduate and postgraduate training in Paediatric Rheumatology.
• Contribute to Credentialing & Scope of Clinical Practice reviews for medical staff.
• Foster a positive culture and safe work environment.
