Job summary

NSW Health’s Children’s Hospital at Westmead is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist (Level 3) to lead after-hours physiotherapy services. The role involves delivering respiratory and other physiotherapy care for children, supporting junior staff, and contributing to service development.

Shifts include weekday evenings and weekend days. The successful candidate will participate in ongoing education, teaching, evidence-based practice and quality improvement activities within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to inpatients/outpatients.
• Deliver evidence-based care within a multidisciplinary and family-centred context.
• Participate in ongoing teaching, evidence-based practice and quality improvement activities.
• Contribute to planning, development and evaluation of physiotherapy services.
• Develop and evaluate policies, procedures and practice guidelines for patient care.
• Liaise with community-based services relevant to patients.
