Job summary

NSW Health, through Sydney Children's Hospital Network, is seeking an experienced Orthotist/Prosthetist Level 3 to provide extensive specialist orthotic care to paediatric patients at Westmead. The role requires autonomous clinical practice, advanced reasoning and leadership in orthotics services.

You will be responsible for clinical, technical and administrative aspects, with opportunities to supervise junior staff and contribute to service development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics providing eligibility for professional accreditation.
• Post-graduate orthotic experience in paediatrics or related area.
• Evidence-based intervention/orthotic prescription.
• Clinical consultant with advanced reasoning skills.
• Experience supervising junior clinicians, technicians or students.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and autonomously.
• Strong written and verbal communication with patient management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide extensive specialist orthotic care to Sydney Children's Hospital Network patients.
• Deliver clinical, technical and administrative orthotic services.
• Plan, implement, evaluate and report on orthotic services.
• Identify opportunities to improve clinical practice and lead quality initiatives.
• Support clinical staff through supervision and guidance when needed.
