Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced Packaging Project Manager to lead the installation, commissioning, qualification, startup and handover of filling and packaging equipment within a manufacturing environment. The role requires strong front-line leadership of engineering projects from concept through production handover.

Responsibilities include managing CAPEX budgets, schedules, resources, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 8+ years of industrial project management experience.
• Proven leadership of filling and packaging equipment installation projects.
• Hands-on experience with Filling Lines, Packaging Lines, Automation & Control Systems, Commissioning & Startup Activities, IQ/OQ/PQ and validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end packaging and filling line installation projects.
• Manage project execution, CAPEX budgets, schedules, resources, and stakeholders.
• Take ownership of IQ, OQ, PQ, commissioning, startup, and operational handover activities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, Operations, and OEM suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with site standards, safety requirements, and quality procedures.
• Oversee FAT, SAT, equipment validation, and performance testing.
• Drive project governance, risk management, and reporting.
• Support manufacturing readiness and production ramp-up activities.
