Job summary

Western Sydney Local Health District’s Blacktown Hospital invites applications for a Senior Occupational Therapist in the Behaviour Management Program (BUMP). This permanent full-time role offers clinical leadership for patients with complex behavioural needs in a dynamic multidisciplinary team.

You will deliver advanced OT assessments, develop and implement behaviour management strategies, mentor staff, lead quality improvement, and support safe, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy degree or diploma approved by OT AHPRA Registration Board of Australia.
• Experience managing patients with challenging behaviours in inpatient settings.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team with strong communication.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Commitment to Quality Improvement and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced OT assessment and interventions for complex behaviours.
• Coordinate behaviour management planning with multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and professional leadership.
• Lead quality improvement and service evaluation initiatives.
• Support safe care delivery through risk management and patient-centred practice.
