Job summary

The Lead Optical Specialist reports to the Technical Director and guides projects from concept through integration, testing and operation.

The role leads optical engineering teams, manages labs and facilities, and advances capabilities in optics, metrology and materials to support current and future programs

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in optical engineering, preferably involving complex optical systems in astronomy, space or advanced tech environments.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams to support project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Drive development of optical and metrology capabilities for current and future programs.
