Job summary

Future Generation Joint Venture - FGJV is seeking a seasoned Electrical/Project Engineer to direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities. You will ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements and drive on-time, on-budget project delivery across time, cost, quality, safety, environment and community.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Construction Industry in a similar role – preferred
• Experience on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.
• Experience with hydraulic structures, hydropower or related industrial infrastructure project
• Experience with power system analysis software

Responsibilities

• Contract comprehension, commercial awareness and ability to develop substantiated claims
• Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form
• Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
• Compile QA documentation including Work Packs, ITP’s, Method statements and Construction verification
• Respectfully takes direction and adheres to feedback from construction managers and project managers
• Providing electrical engineering technical input into projects at various stages
• Undertake feasibility and concept level electrical designs for renewable projects
• Attend project sites to coordinate and witness testing and commissioning activities
• Contribute to regular project meetings, communications and reports to the project manager and/or principal, which provide accurate and timely information to support their understanding of strategic risks, issues, opportunities, impacts and progress
• Monitors progress of construction against the program and takes steps to ensure the program is achieved
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are fully implemented. Establishing field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures, as necessitated by conditions at a jobsite
