Job summary

Optiver is seeking a Senior Observability Platform Engineer to evolve its global observability platform, enabling reliable telemetry across logs, metrics, traces, and dashboards. You will design, build, and operate components that help engineers, traders, and automated systems collect, query, and act on production signals at scale.

You will work across platform and production domains, improving instrumentation quality, adoption, and self-service workflows while raising the standard for

Qualifications

• Strong engineer with production systems experience in SRE, platform engineering or observability.
• Experience with signal quality, production workflows, and reliable systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate components of Optiver’s shared observability platform across telemetry collection, ingestion, storage, query, visualization, alerting, diagnostics, and service health.
• Build software, services, APIs, integrations, libraries, dashboards, automation, and reusable patterns for easier adoption and reliability.
• Improve scalability, reliability, performance, cost-effectiveness, and operational quality of high-volume telemetry systems.
• Improve developer and operator experience through self-service workflows, golden paths, documentation, investigation tooling, and practical platform abstractions.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, trading systems, research, and regional teams to understand production debugging needs.
