Decipher Bureau in Canberra is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to own the delivery lifecycle for complex network security solutions, spanning LAN, WAN, SASE, SD-WAN, NGFW, and datacentre technologies. Flexible hybrid working with client-site preference.

You will work across HLD to handover, mentor others, and partner with Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Aruba, and Cloudflare. 5+ years experience and potential NV1 clearance.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of hands-on, senior-level networking experience.
• Integrator background preferred, multiple clients/environments.
• NV1 clearance preferred or baseline considered.
• Strong familiarity with Fortinet, Cisco or Palo Alto and other core vendors.

The Role:

We're hiring a Senior Network Security Engineer to join a high-performing, Canberra-based secure networks team. You'll work across LAN, WiFi, WAN, SASE, SD-WAN, NGFW, and datacentre technologies, owning solutions end-to-end, from high-level design through to low-level design, implementation, and handover.

Location: Canberra - flexible hybrid working arrangements, with a preference on client site.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own the full delivery lifecycle: HLD, LLD, implementation, and handover, across complex network security solutions.
• Work hands-on across LAN, WAN, SASE, SD-WAN, NGFW, and datacentre environments.
• Partner with leading vendor technologies including Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Aruba, and Cloudflare.
• Provide expert technical guidance to clients, translating business requirements into robust, practical solutions.
• Operate as an independent contributor on complex projects, while contributing to the team's broader technical knowledge base.

Experience Needed:

• 5+ years of hands-on, senior-level networking experience.
• Integrator background strongly preferred - you've delivered across multiple clients and environments, not sat static in a single long-term customer contract.
• NV1 clearance preferred (or baseline considered).
• Strong in at least 1-2 of the core vendor technologies (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Aruba, Cloudflare).
