Job summary

For Purpose Aged Care Australia is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead design, delivery and optimisation of both on-premises and cloud networking across our Australia-wide operations. Reporting to the Head of Cloud & Infrastructure, you will mentor engineers, manage large-scale projects, ensure security and resilience, and collaborate with vendors.

Travel to sites will be required. The role requires extensive experience in enterprise networking, Azure networking, and hands-on Fortinet

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale network solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching, BGP, IPSec VPNs, SD-WAN, Enterprise Wireless, and Network Security.
• Hands-on with FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and FortiAP; rack, patching and deployment.
• Experience with Azure networking.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence or similar tools.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and support of enterprise physical and cloud networks.
• Deliver network migrations, upgrades, greenfield deployments and transformation projects.
• Ensure network performance, availability, security and resilience.
• Provide Level 3 support for complex incidents and major outages.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors and technology partners.
• Drive networking best practices and adoption of modern technologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Maintain documentation, standards and operational processes.
• Travel to sites as required.
