Job summary

Telstra Corporation in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the Mobile Service Edge team. The role focuses on delivering strategic network transformation initiatives, enhancing operational stability, and modernising critical infrastructure across multi-vendor environments.

You will work across engineering, operations, architecture, and delivery teams to support BAU operations and complex transformation programs, contributing to lifecycle management and automation efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in network engineering for large enterprise or service provider.
• Hands-on with Cisco and/or Juniper platforms.
• Experience in BGP, OSPF, HSRP/VRRP, STP routing and switching.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, support and optimise network infrastructure across large-scale environments.
• Deliver network migration and modernisation initiatives.
• Support operational stability, resilience and service reliability outcomes.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Contribute to platform lifecycle management, technology refresh and transformation programs.
• Support change implementation, incident management and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project delivery.
