Job summary

NSW Police Force seeks a Senior Network Engineer to join the Network and Security Platform Services Directorate. The role focuses on design, operation, and optimization of enterprise network services across data centres and remote sites, ensuring secure, reliable connectivity for frontline policing and corporate operations.

The ideal candidate will lead technical initiatives, participate in major incident management, and mentor junior engineers within a large government network environment.

Qualifications

• Senior level network engineering experience in large enterprise environments.
• CCNP level certification (or higher) in networking or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, operation, and improvement of data centre and enterprise core networking services (Cisco ACI, core routing/switching, Wireless, VPNs, DMZ, SD-WAN, Internet, ExpressRoute, and cloud connectivity).
• Drive network assurance, visibility and automation initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural governance for major network projects.
