Job summary

Nityo Infotech Limited in Australia is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, automate and optimise data centre networks for AI/HPC environments.

You will lead network design, implement CLOS/ECMP fabrics, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and build automation to support scalable GPU-based systems. Strong expertise in L2/L3 networks and vendor ecosystems is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and deploying large-scale data centre networks.
• Deep expertise in Layer 2/3 networking and data centre fabric architecture.
• Strong knowledge of CLOS, ECMP, VXLAN and BGP EVPN.
• Experience with Arista, Cisco, Dell, NVIDIA Spectrum-X and/or Fortinet.
• Automation experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform and Git/GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy high-performance data centre networks across GPU compute, storage, front-end and management environments.
• Design and implement CLOS / ECMP data centre fabrics.
• Work across VLANs, VXLAN, BGP EVPN, OSPF and IS-IS.
• Lead network workstreams through data centre construction, energisation and deployment.
• Collaborate with construction, electrical, data centre operations and engineering teams on racks and cabling.
• Provision, configure and validate network infrastructure at scale.
• Develop standardised network designs, BOMs and deployment runbooks.
• Build automation for zero-touch provisioning and deployment validation.
• Support RDMA / RoCEv2 and InfiniBand environments, including PFC and lossless fabric tuning.
• Own network acceptance testing and GPU cluster bring-up.
• Troubleshoot complex deployment issues and hand fully validated environments to operations.

Job description

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will design, deploy, automate and optimise the network infrastructure supporting AI/HPC environments.

You will:

• Design and deploy high-performance data centre networks across GPU compute, storage, front-end and management environments


• Design and implement CLOS / ECMP data centre fabrics


• Work across Layer 2/3 technologies including VLANs, VXLAN, BGP EVPN, OSPF and IS-IS


• Lead network workstreams through data centre construction, energisation and deployment


• Work closely with construction, electrical, data centre operations and engineering teams on rack layouts, cabling and deployment timelines


• Provision, configure and validate network infrastructure at scale


• Develop standardised network designs, bills of materials and deployment runbooks


• Build automation for zero-touch provisioning, configuration generation and deployment validation


• Support RDMA / RoCEv2 and/or InfiniBand environments, including PFC, ECN and lossless fabric tuning


• Own network acceptance testing and GPU cluster bring-up


• Troubleshoot complex deployment issues and hand fully validated environments into operations

Desired Qualifications:

• Proven experience designing and deploying large-scale or complex data centre networks


• Deep expertise in Layer 2/3 networking and data centre fabric architecture


• Strong knowledge of CLOS, ECMP, VXLAN and BGP EVPN


• Experience with Arista, Cisco, Dell, NVIDIA Spectrum-X and/or Fortinet


• Experience with Cumulus Linux, SONiC, NX-OS or EOS


• Strong firewall and network security experience, ideally Fortinet / VDOM


• Experience supporting AI/HPC, RDMA, RoCEv2 or InfiniBand environments is highly desirable


• Automation experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform and Git/GitLab
