Job summary

CQUniversity Australia is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to manage and advance the organisation's enterprise network across on‑premises, data centre and cloud environments. You will lead hands-on engineering while guiding architecture and security strategy.

With 5+ years in complex network environments, you will mentor peers, ensure high availability and contribute to regional connectivity across Australia.

As Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in the management, operation and advancement of CQUniversity’s enterprise network and communication services across on-premises, data centre and private and public cloud environments.

You will provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on, ensuring theavailability, performance, integrity and security of critical network services.

Position Requirements
  • Five or more years’ experience designing, implementing and supporting complex enterprise network environments, including expertise with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, switching technologies and an in-depth understanding of security in the network (experience with Aruba, Cisco and Palo Alto preferred).
  • Recognition as an experienced network engineer, with the ability to make sound architectural decisions and guide network strategy and direction.
  • Proven capability to mentor and support peers, contributing to capability uplift and a strong collaborative team culture.
