Job summary

Accenture Sydney is seeking an experienced Applications Architect to lead design and delivery of enterprise solutions. You will guide cross-functional teams, evaluate architectures, and translate business needs into scalable cloud-native systems.

The role emphasizes .NET, Azure, microservices, RESTful APIs, security best practices, and CI/CD. You’ll mentor developers, review code, and ensure performance and compliance across platforms while partnering with DevOps and product teams.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7+ years of professional experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core.
• Strong understanding of Azure cloud environments and cloud-native development.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture.
• Solid experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Good knowledge of backend systems and application layering.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server) and NoSQL databases.

Enhance systems to meet evolving business requirements.
Maintain applications and infrastructures in alignment with service level agreements.
Define and review technical requirements focusing on integration, performance, quality, and scalability.
Manage infrastructure capacity in collaboration with cloud operations teams.
Track and analyse key performance indicators related to infrastructure and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise

• Work with Azure services (e.g., App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, Service Bus)

• Implement backend business logic and ensure efficient data access

• Design and optimize database schemas and queries (SQL and/or NoSQL)

• Apply security best practices including authentication, authorization, data protection, and secure API design

• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments

• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers

• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, reliability, and security issues

• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision making
