Job summary

SoftLabs, an Australian-owned, women-led Enterprise Software company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to design, build and modernise cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS platforms on .NET Core, Angular and Azure.

You will mentor engineers, shape architecture and own backend, frontend and cloud components, delivering secure, scalable solutions for enterprise customers. The role offers hybrid or remote work and the chance to drive engineering standards across teams.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of hands-on enterprise engineering.
• Deep .NET Core and Azure experience with recent Angular work.
• Strong Angular experience (Angular 14+), RxJS and NgRx/state management.
• Proven delivery of microservices, REST APIs and event-driven apps.
• Hands-on Azure: App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Hub, AKS, Key Vault, CallableGateways.
• Strong SQL Server / Azure SQL skills including data modelling and query optimisation.
• Secure design: JWT, Azure AD, SSL/DNS, RBAC, WAF-enabled gateways.
• Experience with Git or TFS and CI/CD pipelines.
• Clear communication with stakeholders and mentoring or leading developers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design and delivery of backend, frontend and cloud components.
• Design and build microservices and cloud-native APIs in .NET Core with Clean Architecture and CQRS/Mediator.
• Build modular Angular frontends with lazy loading and shared UI libraries.
• Architect multi-tenant SaaS platforms with secure authentication and API versioning.
• Deliver and operate Azure solutions across App Services, API Management, Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, AKS.
• Design data and integration layers with SQL Server/Azure SQL and ETL pipelines.
• Improve performance via caching, async processing and background workers.
• Lead cloud migrations using Azure Migrate, ASR and related tools, with readiness assessments.
