Job summary

The Victorian Government's Department of Education, via the VCAA, is seeking a senior software professional to provide expert analysis, programming and leadership of changes to key assessment applications used across Victoria.

You will work in the Digital Delivery & Applications Unit, applying .NET, C#, SQL and related technologies, with on-call support and 1–2 project deliveries per year in a hybrid Melbourne setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, CS, software engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering ICT solutions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading or supporting small to medium ICT projects.
• Experience supporting business-critical systems including incident response, change and release activities.
• Proven proficiency in .NET, ASP.NET MVC, C#, web services, Powershell, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, SQL Server or Oracle, and PL/SQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead software changes and analyses for a suite of VCAA applications.
• Manage 1–2 small to medium IT development projects per year.
• Provide on–call support during critical business periods.
