Job summary

Australian Department of Defence – Navy Psychology in Canberra seeks a Senior Navy Psychologist Research to lead mental health surveillance, data reporting, and research projects within the Navy. You will communicate trends and outcomes to stakeholders and translate findings into meaningful recommendations to inform actions.

The role supports Navy mental health programs, governance and quality assurance, and offers high-level technical advice.

Qualifications

Experience conducting research and data analysis.
High-level written and oral communication skills.
Critical thinking and translating mental health data into actions.
Initiative and ability to work independently within a large organisation.
Experience conducting psychological assessments.

Responsibilities

Conduct mental health surveillance and data reporting for Navy.
Plan data collection, data analysis and reporting to stakeholders.
Communicate trends and research outcomes to stakeholders.
Provide recommendations based on findings to inform action.
Support mental health programs in Navy and governance/QA activities.
Provide high-level technical advice to Navy stakeholders.
Support organisational psychology services including specialist selection and assessments.
