Job summary

Comwire IT Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Melbourne to own and deliver client projects. You will architect, implement, test and handover solutions across the MSP stack, including Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and security, while mentoring junior engineers and maintaining standards.

The role demands strong documentation, stakeholder communication, and the ability to lead multi-site deployments with minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years MSP Project Engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a technical, project-focused role.
• It qualification in CS/Computing or Engineering.
• Full Australian working rights and a valid driver’s licence.
• Broad expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, networking and firewalls.
• Strong documentation and client-facing communication skills.
• Relevant industry certifications in cloud, networking or security.
• Preferred certs: MS-102/MD-102, AZ-900/104.
• Networking certs: Fortinet, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+.
• Security: SC-200/SC-300, CompTIA Security+, ACSC Essential Eight.
• VOIP: 3CX Certified.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery of client projects.
• Assist Pre-Sales with technical scoping, design, and budgeting.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex issues.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to pre-sales reviews.
• Maintain project documentation, risks and change control.
• Ensure adherence to internal standards and runbooks.
