Job summary

SRG Global is seeking an experienced Technical Specialist – SSAN Equipment to join our Mining Services team in Australia. This role combines hands-on mechanical maintenance with technical leadership to maximise equipment reliability, safety and operational performance on MPU and SSAN assets.

You will work with site teams, OEMs and suppliers to commission new equipment, resolve complex issues and drive continuous improvement across SRG Global's SSAN fleet, while mentoring maintenance personnel

Qualifications

• Trade qualification: Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining Mobile Processing Units (MPUs) or similar explosive delivery equipment.
• Minimum five years’ experience with heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose faults.
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance programs.
• Strong safety, quality and compliance focus.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, scheduled, and breakdown maintenance on MPUs and SSAN equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults to maximise reliability.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, including parts and spares.
• Test, calibrate, and verify MPU safety systems per OEM specs.
• Support commissioning of new and rebuilt equipment.
• Provide technical support and mentoring to site teams.
• Maintain maintenance records and ensure compliance with standards.
• Drive continuous improvement to asset performance.
