Zion Financial is a Sunshine Coast financial planning and mortgage broking firm based in Maroochydore. We help families and wealth-conscious Australians align their finances with their life goals, from buying a first home to building a property portfolio and planning for retirement.

We’re growing, and our mortgage broking side is busier than it has ever been. We are seeking an experienced Senior Mortgage Broker to look after our clients and help build the broking team as we grow.

Qualifications

• 3+ years writing residential home loans, including investment lending.
• Accreditation with aggregator and credit representative registration is expected.
• Proven ability to grow and manage a referral network.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own clients from first meeting through to settlement.
• Grow your referral network and bring in new clients.
• Structure home, investment, refinance, construction and self-employed lending.
• Collaborate with financial advisers on shared clients and long-term strategy.
• Prepare compliant, well-evidenced applications.
• Work with lenders and BDMs to move deals through.
• Contribute to shaping broking processes and team growth.

Zion Financial is a Sunshine Coast financial planning and mortgage broking firm based in Maroochydore. We help families and wealth-conscious Australians align their finances with their life goals, from buying a first home to building a property portfolio and planning for retirement.

We're growing, and our mortgage broking side is busier than it's ever been. We're now looking for an experienced Senior Mortgage Broker to look after our clients and help build the broking team as we grow.

What Makes Zion Financial Different

• Lending as part of a bigger plan. Our mortgage brokers and financial advisers work side by side. Many clients come to you with a strategy already in place, so you're structuring loans that support their investment, property and retirement goals, not just finding a rate.
• An established client book and strong lead flow. You'll step into an established book of clients ready for refinancing, plus strong lead flow to support the business you bring in.
• The senior broking seat. You'll work alongside our director, Beau Flanders, with the majority of broking leads coming to you.
• Processing, settlements and credit support. Our Mortgage Broking Assistant handles loan processing, settlements, client follow-up, CRM and file compliance. For credit analysis, we use Jiffi AI in Quickli to speed up servicing and policy checks. Your time goes to clients.
• AI for efficiency, people for advice. We use technology to work smarter, but the client relationship always stays human.
• A pathway to lead. As the broking team grows, the right person will help build and lead it.
• No hustle culture. No late nights or weekend work unless a client meeting requires it.

What you'll be doing

• Managing your own clients from first meeting through to settlement and beyond
• Bringing in new clients and growing your own referral network
• Structuring home, investment, refinance, construction and self-employed lending
• Working with our financial advisers on shared clients and long-term strategy
• Preparing compliant, well-evidenced applications
• Working with lenders and BDMs to move deals through
• Helping shape our broking processes and team as we grow

About you

• 3+ years writing residential home loans, including investment lending, at a brokerage or a bank
• Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (or willing to complete it)
• Able to be accredited with our aggregator and registered as a credit representative
• An established network of clients and referral partners, and the drive to keep growing it
• Confident with property investors and self-employed clients
• Compliance is part of how you build every file
• Exceptional client service. You're never afraid to pick up the phone, you always prioritise your clients' needs, and you go above and beyond
• A high performer. You're a professional, clear communicator who represents a premium brand well

• $100,000+ base salary plus super
• Commission, paid monthly with on-target earnings of $140k+
