Job summary

Vanguard is seeking an experienced DevOps Manager to lead and shape the technical direction of our mobile DevOps team. You will oversee mobile CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, system reliability, deployment processes, and onboarding of third-party tools.

You will align with UK and Australia leaders on shared mobile infrastructure strategy and contribute to staffing, budgeting, and performance metrics in a hybrid work model spanning Malvern to Melbourne.

Qualifications

Eight years of related work experience with at least five years in software project management.
Experience supporting a large-scale mobile engineering organization with iOS, Android, React Native and Node.
Strong technical background with modern DevOps practices like CI/CD, monitoring and automation.

Responsibilities

Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew. Provide guidance and training to develop crew; set performance standards and review performance.
Use Agile methodologies to deliver quality, flexible solutions across IT teams.
Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations in the DevOps space as appropriate.
Collaborate with management to develop staffing and operational plans and monitor service delivery metrics.
Develop and implement changes to department policies to meet changing business needs and improve processes.
Lead quality initiatives to improve service delivery and align with senior management goals.
Present status and metrics at management meetings and coordinate with technical teams and partners.
Develop department budget and ensure expenditures stay within guidelines.
Ensure staff compliance with IT and information security policies and verify deliverables meet requirements.
