Job summary

Atlassian in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Machine Learning System Engineer to help build and refine the core ML infrastructure powering Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. You will design scalable ML pipelines, train and deploy models, and enable product teams to ship AI features safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 6+ years software engineering experience with 2+ years in ML infra/Platform.
• Experience building end-to-end ML systems from data ingest to model serving.
• Design for scalable, fault-tolerant distributed ML systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop core ML infrastructure for Atlassian products.
• Collaborate with Jira and Confluence teams to tailor ML solutions.
• Lead projects from design to launch and mentor juniors.
