Job summary

Glencore Australia at Hail Creek Open Cut is seeking a Senior Mining Systems Coordinator to lead the Dispatch team and own the Production Systems roadmap. You will direct the installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of mining systems and fleet tools to deliver measurable value for the operation.

You will coach operational leaders, translate system performance into business outcomes, and drive continuous improvement across the site with a view to sustaining operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Extensive mine site experience with operating machinery and fleet systems.
• Advanced computer skills with Modular, CAT MineStar, MinVu, Corvus, and Power BI.
• Proven ability to lead or coordinate operational teams.

Job Description

As the Senior Mining Systems Coordinator, you will lead, mentor, and develop the Dispatch team, holding direct accountability for their performance, capability, rostering, and day-to-day coordination. You will set the standard for how the team operates, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Beyond people leadership, you will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Hail Creek's Production Systems — directing the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of mining systems, application software, and fleet management tools, and ensuring these systems and your team deliver measurable value to the operation.

You will be the site's go-to authority and coach on effective use of Production Systems, partnering with operational leaders across the mine to lift capability, resolve issues, and translate technical system performance into business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct leadership of the Dispatch team, including performance management, coaching, rostering, and capability development
• Ownership of the strategic vision, direction, and continuous improvement roadmap for Hail Creek's Production Systems
• Leadership and technical oversight of the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of mining systems, fleet management tools, and application software
• Site-wide leadership and guidance on the effective use of Production Systems, building strong stakeholder relationships across site to ensure systems and reporting tools support broader business goals

About You

You are a savvy, results-driven, and resilient leader with a track record of getting the best out of a team. You bring extensive mine site experience — ideally including operating machinery, administering fleet management and reporting systems, and leading or coordinating operational teams such as Dispatch. You have advanced computer skills, particularly in Modular, CAT MineStar, Minvu, Corvus, and Power BI. You are highly organised, responsive, intuitive, innovative, self-motivated, and driven to achieve great outcomes both for your team and for the business.
