Amida Limited invites applications for a Senior Mine Surveyor to lead the surveying function across underground and surface environments in regional Victoria. You will own survey priorities and mentor junior staff.
The role requires a Mine Surveying degree, 3–5 years underground experience, and familiarity with Deswik/Surpac. It also emphasizes safety, data integrity and collaboration with engineers, geology and operations. This is a residential opportunity with relocation support.
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Mine Surveyor to join my client's established underground gold mining operation in regional Victoria. My client is ideally seeking a senior-level professional who can take ownership of the site's surveying function, coordinate survey activities and provide guidance to other members of the team. However, they are also open to appointing an experienced Mine Surveyor with approximately three to five years of underground surveying experience who is ready to take the next step in their career.
This is a genuine residential position offering the opportunity to live locally and return home each day. Full relocation assistance will be provided to support the successful candidate and their family in relocating to the region.
The Opportunity Working as part of the Technical Services team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and completing surveying activities across both underground and surface environments. You will work closely with mining engineers, geologists, production personnel, contractors and operational teams to ensure accurate survey information is available to support safe and efficient development and production activities.
For a senior appointment, the position will also involve providing technical leadership, coordinating survey priorities and supporting the development of less experienced survey team members.
The position descriptions place particular emphasis on heading control, development pickups, drill mark-ups, CMS processing, surface plans, closure-related data, as-built records and timely delivery of accurate survey information.
Candidates being considered for the senior-level appointment should also demonstrate previous experience coordinating survey activities, providing technical leadership and mentoring or developing other survey personnel. The Senior Mine Surveyor PD specifically identifies leadership, coaching, communication and the development of subordinate survey personnel as important attributes.
This opportunity would suit either an established Senior Mine Surveyor seeking a residential leadership position or an experienced Mine Surveyor with strong underground exposure who is ready to progress.
