Job summary

Yellow Iron Fleet is seeking a Mining Manager to lead and direct a major mining operation in Australia. You will champion safety, drive daily and long-term planning, and coordinate with maintenance, engineering and site leadership to meet production targets and standards.

With a hands-on leadership style, you will optimize equipment utilisation, manage costs and foster risk-aware decision-making across supervisors and operators on site.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in open-cut mining or large-scale earthmoving operations.
• Senior mining leadership or management background across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of mining production, load and haul operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership and maintain a strong safety-first culture.
• Oversee mining activities per site requirements, procedures and legislation.
• Lead hazard identification, risk management and incident prevention.
• Hold leaders and teams accountable for safe work practices and standards.
• Direct daily, weekly and longer-term mining activities to plan.
• Coordinate people, equipment and priorities to meet production targets.
• Monitor performance and address constraints and risks proactively.
• Align operations, maintenance and technical functions for optimal output.
• Drive equipment availability, utilization and productive hours.
• Ensure activities follow mine plans and operational requirements.
