Job summary

BHP in Australia is seeking a Mine Planning professional to drive Enterprise Mining Probabilistics deployment across a phased program. You will apply probabilistic methods and systems thinking to improve planning, work with leadership and operations, and travel to sites as required.

The role demands strong collaboration, rebuilding EMP artefacts, and participation in Agile project practices to meet objectives, with a focus on safe, predictable delivery within Future Planning.

Qualifications

• Experience with mine planning and scheduling software.
• Background in mine planning and scheduling; supervision experience would be well regarded.
• Mining Engineering degree or technical expertise across mining disciplines.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, communicate, engage and influence across diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Play a central role in driving and delivering EMP Deployment activities across a phased deployment strategy.
• Engage and partner with our customers in Australia across leadership, mine planning and operations groups to define and deliver EMP Deployment activities spanning FY27. Site travel will be required.
• Apply probabilistic methods, variability management, and systems thinking within traditional mine planning and operational management practices.
• Participate in EMP team routines using Agile Project Management Framework (APMF) practices, ensuring deliverables meet agreed objectives and criteria.
• Provide general team support internally within Future Planning inclusive of continuous improvement efforts towards EMP artefacts, resources and tools.
