Job summary

Metro South Health Service is seeking a Clinical Midwifery Consultant in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Logan Hospital to lead specialist care for complex pregnancies.

You will provide expert leadership, mentor midwives, drive continuous improvement and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver woman-centred care.

This role supports education, research and service development within Queensland's public health system, with flexible working arrangements where operationally appropriate.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Midwife is required.
• Advanced clinical and problem-solving skills within midwifery practice.
• Demonstrated experience in evidence-based practice, quality improvement and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical leadership and advanced midwifery care across Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Lead and support contemporary, evidence-based models of care that promote informed decision-making and the best outcomes for women and babies.
• Provide clinical support, direction and mentorship to midwives and other members of the healthcare team in complex situations.
• Drive quality improvement, clinical governance, education, research and service development initiatives.
• Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to strengthen care coordination, consultation and referral pathways.
• Contribute to a positive practice environment that supports professional development and learning.
