Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Middleware Engineer to implement, manage and optimise enterprise middleware platforms enabling reliable integration across applications, databases and external systems.

You will provide senior technical expertise across middleware infrastructure, APIs, messaging, automation and security, working with developers, infrastructure, architecture and cyber teams to deliver secure, scalable services for critical work.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in middleware engineering or integration engineering.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise middleware platforms and APIs/web services.
• Experience with cloud or hybrid environments, automation and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, maintain and optimise enterprise middleware platforms.
• Design secure application integration solutions using APIs, web services and messaging.
• Lead troubleshooting, performance tuning and platform modernisation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain automation, CI/CD pipelines and IaC practices.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integration outcomes.
