Job summary

ICEYE in Australia is seeking a Senior Meteorologist and Solutions Operations Specialist to join the remote Solutions Delivery team. You will monitor global natural catastrophes, forecast in near real-time, and advise on storm tracking to guide satellite tasking and data acquisition.

You will lead daily weather huddles, develop SAR acquisition plans, and provide weather updates to GIS analysts and external clients. This is a remote, permanent role with startup pace and global impact.

Qualifications

• Education in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in operational forecasting for decision-making.
• Excellent time management and communication skills; proactive and problem-solving.
• Ability to work non-standard schedules (weekends/holidays) in a startup scale-up.
• Comfort with rapid change and high-pressure deadlines.
• Experience with earth observation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations monitoring global natural catastrophes.
• Operate daily weather monitoring and forecasting for catastrophe scenarios.
• Provide real-time storm tracking input for satellite tasking.
• Develop SAR data acquisition plans and coordinate ICEYE constellation tasks.
• Advise GIS analysts with weather updates for catastrophe analyses.
• Collaborate with Analytics engineering to design meteorology-focused analytics.
• Establish 24/7 readiness processes for catastrophe analytics.
• Lead daily weather huddles and ensure operational procedures.
• Communicate significant events to Marketing and Social Media.
• Present information clearly to coworkers and external clients.
• Contribute to ICEYE's values and team success.
