Job summary

Tronox Limited is seeking a technically strong Senior Mechanical & Piping Engineer to join the DFS and Execution phases of a major Rare Earth project in Western Australia. You will report to the Lead Mechanical & Piping Engineer and contribute across design deliverables, vendor interactions, and field execution in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

The role begins as a 12-month fixed-term DFS with potential permanent status after FID, and will be based in Fremantle with a nine-day fortnight

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in mechanical and piping for major industrial or resource projects.
• Knowledge of ASME/API standards and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with Engineering Service Providers.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Aid in equipment selection studies and technology evaluation.
• Produce mechanical and piping deliverables including specs, data sheets, layouts, and stress analyses.
• Contribute to 3D model and clash-free designs across disciplines.
• Provide field engineering support during construction and commissioning readiness.
• Ensure QA, scheduling, and documentation for commissioning and operations.
