Job summary

Aurecon in Perth, WA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Industrial to lead mechanical design for pumping and piping packages, from concept through construction support.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant outcomes for mining, resources, water and defence projects, mentor less experienced engineers, and drive Safety in Design on brownfield work.

Qualifications

• Experience in mining/resources, water, or defence sectors.
• Led pumping and piping scopes from design to delivery.
• Knowledge of Australian legislation and standards.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.
• Ability to manage scope, cost, and schedule.
• Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical leadership across industrial projects.
• Develop and review datasheets, specifications, scopes of work, design reports, calculations and drawings.
• Coordinate interfaces with process, civil/structural, electrical/EI&C, drafting/BIM teams.
• Mentor and uplift capability across the team and support project delivery.
