Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Brisbane, QLD. You will plan and coordinate mechanical design for infrastructure related to mining projects. This includes conducting field investigations and supporting design reviews to ensure compliance with regulations.

The role requires significant experience in minerals handling process plant design and excellent communication skills. The position is partially remote with requirements for in-person attendance.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Bid Evaluate Award processes, including vendor equipment evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and review design work of in-house and external providers.
• Coordinate the production of technical drawings and specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with all applicable regulations and standards.

Skills

Experience with minerals handling process plant design

Computer skills including MS Office

Analytical problem-solving capabilities

Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication

Education

Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
