Job summary

Fluor is seeking Mechanical Designers to join our project team on a major EPCM mining project in Western Australia.

You will design layouts, prepare drawings, and use MicroStation CAD to deliver solutions across commodities such as lithium and copper. Current Australian working rights are required; Fluor is an equal opportunity employer.

• Exposure to 2D drawing and 3D modeling using MicroStation Connect or Bentley packages.

Responsibilities

• Work on mining/mineral processing projects, including conveyors and crushers.
• Apply design principles to provide ideas and solutions to project tasks.
• Prepare layout, conceptual designs, and technical drawings.
• Create 2D and 3D CAD layouts using MicroStation.
• Coordinate with supplier reps for timely review of data.
• Support projects across commodities such as lithium, copper, gold, iron ore.

We are currently seeking Mechanical Designers to join our dynamic project team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major EPCM project.

Job Description

• Working on various mining/mineral processing projects, including overland conveyors, crushers, and associated mining equipment.
• Apply engineering design principles, tools, skills, and experience to provide ideas & solutions to project assignments.
• Prepare layout, conceptual designs, and design drawings
• Exposure to 2D and 3D CAD capabilities, using 3D mechanical package as defined by the project, MicroStation.
• Maintain effective communication and contact with Supplier representatives to ensure accurate and timely review of supplier data.
• Opportunity to work with a wide range of commodities, such as lithium, copper, gold, iron ore, and mineral sands.

Job Requirements

• Exposure to 2D drawing and 3D modeling using Microstation Connect or other Bentley packages.
