Job summary

Climatech Group, a leading Australian mechanical services contractor, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own design delivery for hyperscale data centre projects in NSW and Victoria. You will lead the design function from concept through detailed design, prefabrication and construction support, mentoring engineers and coordinating with clients and certifiers.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree and 8+ years in HVAC design, including data centres or mission-critical

Qualifications

8+ years in mechanical/HVAC design, senior or lead role.
Experience designing data centres or mission-critical facilities.
Solid knowledge of AS/NZS standards, the NCC, and redundancy concepts.
CPEng/Professional Engineer registration is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical design of hyperscale data centre projects from concept to IFC/Lod 500.
Own design delivery through all milestone stages and reviews.
Coordinate with clients, head contractors, consultants and certifiers.
Drive design for prefabrication with cross-functional teams (procurement, construction).
Mentor and grow a team of mechanical design engineers and BIM resources.
Support construction and commissioning through to testing and handover.
