Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Senior Analyst, Markets to join our growing Energy Markets team in Australia. You will develop market, pricing and revenue models across the National Electricity Market (NEM) and analyse market trends to identify opportunities and manage risk.

You will collaborate with Origination, Development, Finance and Asset Management to deliver insights, reporting and forecasts that influence commercial decisions and investments in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

Qualifications

• Experience in energy markets, market analytics, portfolio analytics, trading support or revenue modelling.
• Strong understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM).
• Advanced analytical and modelling capability using Excel, SQL and Python or R.
• Experience working with market data and translating technical findings into business recommendations.
• Attention to detail and reproducible work.
• Strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop market, pricing and revenue models across the National Electricity Market (NEM).
• Analyse market trends, portfolio performance and commercial opportunities.
• Support pricing and assessment of PPAs, hedging products and new investment opportunities.
• Deliver reporting and insights used by executives, boards and commercial stakeholders.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, analytical tools and reporting processes.
• Perform scenario analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• Work closely with Origination, Development, Finance and Asset Management teams on high-impact projects.
