Job summary

Haskoning Australia is seeking a Senior Maritime Engineer to design, deliver and inspect coastal and maritime infrastructure across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. You will lead complex projects, mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.

You will have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, be fully chartered or on track, and 5–10 years of relevant maritime experience, with exposure to defence, naval or port facilities and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Fully chartered or working towards chartership.
• 5–10 years in design/delivery of maritime infrastructure.
• Experience with defence/naval/port facilities desirable.
• Willingness to travel locally, interstate and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept and detailed designs for maritime structures (naval facilities, wharves, quay walls, dry docks, shipyard infrastructure).
• Act as technical lead for defence and maritime projects.
• Prepare and review construction docs, specs and Bills of Quantities.
• Conduct structural inspections and provide design support during construction.
• Manage multidisciplinary projects and foster client relationships and business development in defence/maritime sectors.
