Job summary

Life Saving Victoria Limited, based in Melbourne, is seeking a Senior Manager – Sport, Participation and Transformation to provide strategic leadership across lifesaving sport, participation and organisational transformation. You will drive the Sport Strategy, grow participation, enhance workforce sustainability and ensure long-term financial viability of lifesaving sport.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in sport, participation, major events, community-based service delivery or comparable operational environment.
• Proven success leading transformation programs and strategic initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Strong experience in change management, stakeholder engagement and navigating complex environments.
• Proven financial and operational management capability, including budgeting and performance monitoring.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sport, Participation and Transformation function, driving strategy, performance, participation growth and operational excellence.
• Deliver sport and competition reform initiatives, improving event delivery models, workforce practices, and service standards.
• Lead participation and growth strategies to strengthen retention and member engagement.
• Champion safety, risk management and operational readiness across the sport portfolio.
• Build partnerships with clubs, volunteers, councils, committees and key stakeholders.
• Drive financial sustainability through strategic planning, budget management and performance monitoring.
