Dairy Australia is seeking a Senior Manager – Farmer Communications to shape how we connect with farmers, delivering timely, practical information that supports awareness and adoption of our services.

Reporting to the General Manager – Farm Delivery, you will lead the farmer communications strategy, guide content across national and regional channels, and develop the Farmer Communications team. You’ll use insights and data to improve relevance and engagement.

Your opportunity

The role of Senior Manager – Farmer Communications is an exciting opportunity to shape how Dairy Australia connects with farmers, ensuring they receive relevant, timely and practical information that supports awareness, participation and adoption of our services, programs and resources.

You will lead Dairy Australia’s farmer communications strategy and function, combining strategic leadership with hands‑on content development. Using farmer insights, segmentation and performance data, you will create a more coordinated and effective communications experience across national and regional channels.

Reporting to the General Manager – Farm Delivery, you will:

• Develop and lead Dairy Australia’s farmer communications strategy, roadmap and priorities.
• Shape farmer content and channels around seasonal needs, decision windows and practical relevance.
• Write and guide high-priority communications that make complex information clear and engaging.
• Lead an integrated approach across national, regional and organisational communications.
• Use farmer insights and performance data to improve content, channels and engagement.
• Lead and develop the Farmer Communications team, building capability across Dairy Australia.

About you

You are a strategic and hands‑on communications leader who understands how to turn farmer needs and organisational priorities into clear, practical and engaging content. You bring sound judgement, strong editorial capability and a collaborative leadership style, with the confidence to guide priorities and influence stakeholders across the organisation.

Success in this role will be supported by your:

• Significant experience leading communications strategy, planning and integrated delivery.
• Strong writing and editing skills, including translating complex information for practical use by farmers.
• Ability to use audience insights, segmentation and performance data to guide decisions.
• Experience coordinating content and communications across multiple channels and priorities.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills and the ability to influence across teams and functions.
• People leadership experience, with the ability to set direction, build capability and support performance.
