Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Australia is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to lead the Risk and Assurance practice, delivering end-to-end operational and enterprise risk engagements for clients. You will design risk frameworks, perform risk assessments, and embed controls across organisations, collaborating with boards and senior executives.

The role emphasises stakeholder management, business development, and delivering tangible risk insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience across operational and enterprise risk management in 1st/2nd line, or consulting.
• Hands-on ownership of a risk framework: taxonomy, registers, appetite, KRIs.
• Experience running RCSAs and testing controls.
• Experience with risk event data, incident management, root cause analysis.
• Experience developing risk appetite statements and board-level reporting.
• Knowledge of ISO 31000, ISO 17776, and resilience regimes.
• Professional certification such as ERM or ISO 31000.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ORM and ERM engagements, managing quality, budget and timelines.
• Design and embed integrated risk frameworks aligned to enterprise risks.
• Lead risk identification across strategic, financial, regulatory, tech and emerging risks.
• Drive risk governance, reporting and escalation to executives and boards.
• Coach junior team members and develop client relationships.
