JS Careers Pty is seeking a Senior Manager to lead credit risk assurance efforts in a Sydney-based role. You will contribute to credit assurance programs, test credit delegation holder approvals, and identify and mitigate key financial risks across the risk architecture and control environment.

You will leverage credit risk data to spot trends, advise on best-practice design and reporting, and elevate vulnerabilities to strengthen risk management across policies, procedures and systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in a credit risk discipline, such as credit decisioning, audit, assurance or risk advisory.
• Experience with a wholesale portfolio and exposure to institutional lending and trading products.
• Advanced negotiation skills and experience working with stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Ability to think laterally and work with abstract concepts and complex situations.

As a Senior Manager in the Credit Risk Assurance team, you will contribute to the delivery of credit assurance review programs, covering the financial risk frameworks which involve sample testing credit delegation holder approvals to identify, capture, and drive mitigation of key financial risks. You will identify and elevate any vulnerabilities in the supporting risk architecture of policies, procedures, systems and the control environment which may produce deviation from risk appetite. You will also utilise credit risk data to identify risks and trends to improve business risk management and provide insights and advice to the business on best practice for design, measurement, analysis, evaluation and reporting of credit risk.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of credit assurance review programs covering financial risk frameworks
• Conduct sample testing of credit delegation holder approvals
• Identify, capture, and drive mitigation of key financial risks
• Identify and elevate vulnerabilities in risk architecture of policies, procedures, systems and control environment

About you

• Prior experience in a credit risk discipline, such as credit decisioning, audit, assurance or risk advisory
• Experience with a wholesale portfolio and exposure to both institutional lending and trading products (derivatives, swaps, options, etc)
• Advanced negotiation skills and experience working with stakeholders at multiple levels
• Ability to think laterally and work with abstract concepts and complex situations
